Chris Taylor

Pastor

I’m Chris, pastor at Bethel Witham. My heart is to help people encounter the transforming hope of Jesus and see that hope shape everyday life—at home, in relationships, and in our community. Much of my time is spent teaching the Bible, supporting people pastorally, and helping to lead church life through Sundays, small groups, youth, children’s work, and outreach. I’m married to Suzy, and together we have two boys, as well as a lively dog called Arlo and our cat, Samson.

David Cameron

Elder

David has been part of Bethel since 1987 after encountering Jesus at an outreach meeting. He has served as an elder for over a decade. He’s married to Mel, they have two grown-up daughters, and he works as a Tesco retail manager in Braintree. He enjoys football (and walking football), family walks, and indie music.

Gary Fisher

Elder

Gary is married to Shelly and dad to Poppy. A deputy headteacher in a Chelmsford primary school, he’s been part of Bethel since his university days. He loves the allotment and improving his Parkrun times. His heart is to preach Jesus and see lives changed by the truth that sets us free.
