At Bethel Witham, leadership is shared across a number of roles and people who serve the church in different ways. Alongside the elders and Church Council, our leadership team includes staff and key ministry leaders who help support the spiritual, pastoral and practical life of the church.
Leadership at Bethel is relational and collaborative. Responsibility is shared, with people serving according to their calling, gifts and experience, all working together for the health, care and mission of the church.
Bethel Witham is supported by a small staff team who serve the church and wider community through day-to-day ministry and operations. Our staff work closely with the pastor, elders, trustees and volunteers to help church life run well and to support people effectively.
Pastor Chris Taylor
Chris leads Bethel Witham as pastor, providing spiritual leadership, preaching, teaching and pastoral care across the life of the church. He works closely with the elders and Church Council in shaping direction, supporting ministry and caring for the church family.

In addition to staff, Bethel Witham is supported by a number of people who carry responsibility for specific ministries and areas of church life. These leaders serve faithfully, many on a voluntary basis, and play a vital role in pastoral care, discipleship, community outreach and practical support.
These areas include:

Pastoral care and prayer ministries

Worship and service teams
Operations and facilities support
Those serving in these roles work closely with the pastor, elders and staff to support the life of the church and care well for people.
Elders provide spiritual oversight, prayer, discernment and pastoral care
The Pastor leads preaching, teaching and day-to-day ministry
The Church Council oversees governance, finance and compliance
Staff and ministry leaders support the practical, pastoral and community life of the church
Together, these roles help Bethel Witham remain spiritually healthy, well organised and focused on its mission.
