We run Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups twice a year in The Well coffee shop

'Kintsugi' (金継ぎ) is a Japanese technique for repairing broken pottery with seams of gold. The word means 'golden joinery' in Japanese. This repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object more beautiful, and even more unique, than it was prior to being broken. Instead of hiding the scars, it makes a feature of them.

Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups are designed to promote mental health and wellbeing, suggesting that we can actually ‘discover treasure in life’s scars.’  They aim to provide safe and supportive environments where individuals can discuss things which may influence our mental wellbeing, in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Each session starts with refreshments and then we look at a different topic, such as honesty, anxiety, depressing, shame, anger …….  Each session is interactive, with a combination of short videos, information and plenty of topics to discuss.

Our next group begins on Tuesday 10th September at 7.30pm.   For more information, contact admin@bethelwitham.org.   Someone will contact you and discuss if this is a suitable course for you.
